Garlands
Garlands are multicultural and are historically used in celebration and festive decorations. Each stain is cross stitched, creating a simulacrum, separating the image from reality, and helping us to consume what society has taught us to reject. Due to the nature of the medium, the images become pixelated connecting these pieces to the digital world and separating each stain from its grotesque reality.
